Hello! I’m Lex Tamvakis, a communications and digital media pro with a passion for storytelling, design, and making an impact. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in History and Media & Journalism, where I developed a love for crafting narratives that connect with audiences.
I’ve worked in nonprofit leadership as the Fundraising and Communications Manager at Independent Animal Rescue, where I raised over $200,000 through events, social media campaigns, and strategic partnerships. I’ve also had experience in public relations at FleishmanHillard, where I secured media coverage, wrote content, and led DE&I initiatives.
Along the way, I’ve built skills in graphic design, social media management, web design, and content creation. I’ve even had the chance to work internationally, digitizing historical collections and running social media for organizations like the Palestine Exploration Fund.
